About the Store at MAD

The Store at MAD is an original voice on the retail landscape, offering a curated selection of well-executed contemporary artist-made objects and jewelry. We see ourselves as a bridge between our customers, our artists, their work and the Museum. We travel far and wide to find unique products that celebrate materials, an excellence in craftsmanship and the process of design. Hand selected treasures that enhance the quality of our contemporary life are at the core of The Store’s presentation.

The Store at MAD and The Store Online are dedicated to supporting the mission of the Museum of Arts and Design and extending the museum visitor’s experience. All proceeds from sales made in The Store Online and in The Store at MAD support the exhibitions and educational programs of the Museum.

In today’s competitive retail world, only superb customer service and a staff that is intimately familiar with their store’s product will serve to achieve these goals. We deeply appreciate your patronage and are here to serve you.

About the Museum of Arts and Design

Since its founding in 1956, the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) has celebrated all of the creative processes by which materials are transformed. Today, the Museum is the leading institution dedicated to craft across all forms of contemporary creative practice, from traditional techniques to cutting-edge technology.

Our mission is rooted in craftsmanship: the ways that skilled makers transform the world around us. Through its exhibitions and programs, MAD places craft firmly within the context of contemporary artistic practice, industry, new technology, local traditions, and international formations. In so doing, the Museum acts as a platform for new trends and innovations in art and design from across the globe. Works by contemporary artist-makers are featured in MAD’s exhibitions and are added to the permanent collection on an ongoing basis.
