Eunseok Han (South Korea) creates jewelry that originates from an awareness of the disposable items that pervade daily life. Often regarded as non-precious materials, these objects are typically used once and discarded. While traditional jewelry relies on gold and silver, Han challenges this convention by transforming recycled aluminum cans into wearable art. By repurposing discarded materials, Han seeks to redefine perceptions of value and beauty.

Inspired by the bleaching of coral reefs—a direct consequence of pollution—Han creates jewelry that captures the vibrant colors of corals before they fade. Through this work, Han aims to raise awareness of environmental issues and encourage a deeper appreciation for nature. By turning waste into art, Han invites viewers to reconsider their role in sustainability and the potential of discarded materials.
