About The Store
The Store at MAD is a premiere shopping destination for New Yorkers and visitors to the city alike. With its cohesive presentation of well-executed craft and design objects, The Store has been successful in building a bridge between its customers and the soul of the artist. In keeping with the mission of the Museum, The Store showcases products that preserve the essence of “made by hand” while their makers utilize some of the latest design technology in the execution of their concepts. The Store at MAD celebrates natural materials and craftsmanship across all of our product categories including jewelry, glass, ceramics, wood, home design and fashion accessories.

The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) explores the intersection of art, craft and design today. Through its exhibitions and programs MAD focuses on contemporary creation, materials and processes from the hand-made to the digital.

The Store at MAD and The Store Online are dedicated to supporting the mission of the museum and extending the museum visitor’s experience. All proceeds from sales made in The Store Online and in The Store at MAD support the exhibitions and educational programs of the Museum of Arts and Design. We deeply appreciate your patronage and are here to serve you.
Members Discount: Members of the Museum of Arts and Design receive a 10% discount on purchases made online, over the phone, and in The Store at MAD at 2 Columbus Circle in New York. During the year, on special occasions our members are able to receive a 20% discount. When you join online or by telephone, you are immediately eligible to receive your membership discount on your purchases, other than the membership itself. There are no membership discounts on LOOT: MAD About Jewelry purchases.
Orders shipped within the contiguous United States are shipped via UPS Ground. Membership cards will be shipped free of charge using USPS.
Orders sent to Alaska and Hawaii are shipped UPS 2nd day air or USPS Priority Mail. Please use a street address only for your “Ship To” address. We cannot ship to post office boxes.
Tax on Orders Shipped from The Store Online:
Applicable sales tax will be added to all purchases being shipped to any New York address. There is no sales tax on Memberships, Donations, Event Tickets, or Gift Certificates no matter where you live.
International Orders:The Store Online can fulfill Canadian orders only. Your order may be subject to duties or tariffs. These will be collected by the destination country’s customs office.

If you are unhappy with your purchase or gift, you may return it to us within 30 days, undamaged, for an exchange, or for a store credit. Unfortunately, any return made without a gift receipt or packing list will be eligible for a store credit only issued in the amount of the current retail price less a 20% members discount.

Shipping and gift-wrapping fees are non-refundable.

Please send your returns by UPS or insured Parcel Post. Lost shipments are the responsibility of the sender.
