Silver Jewelry From the Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum
The Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum (ILJM) is the first museum devoted to the art of jewelry in Greece. The ILJM is a nonprofit cultural organization certified by the Greek Ministries of Finance and Culture in 1993 and opened to the public in December 1994. The Museum acts as an international center for jewelry and decorative crafts, with an emphasis on silver and goldsmithing as well as contemporary studio jewelry.
The Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum offers through its Museum store Gold and Silver jewelry inspired by vintage Ilias Lalaounis creations from its permanent collection, as well as contemporary jewelry designed by Maria Lalaounis, Creative Director of LALAoUNIS. A selection of pendants and earrings from the museum's sterling silver collection is made available for the first time through the MAD e-shop.
Ilias Lalaounis' s motto, 'Every piece of Jewelry has a story to tell', underlines every one of the jewelry pieces on offer. They are characterized by their distinctive and symbolic designs that are beautifully hand-crafted using signature Lalaounis techniques.
The Museum store proceeds, support the educational activities and cultural programs of the Museum.
