Eszter Sára Kocsor

A jewelry designer based in Budapest, Eszter Sára Kocsor seeks to give her wearers a glimpse of a different world. She observes the structures, natural fractals, and other visuals that catch her eye, and works to capture that effect in her jewelry. By transposing an ancient method of stone-setting into a contemporary context, she exaggerates the beauty of the stone. She uses stainless steel, silver, and brilliant cut zirconia, and employs a laser to weld the triangular mirrors piece by piece. Worn on the body, her jewelry mirrors the wearer and has a mesmerizing effect. The artist says, “For me beauty is that moment when we see ourselves, our inner core, very clearly—when every false, malformed picture disappears and reality is revealed to our eyes.”
